We raise free range chickens for eggs and meat. They are fed on organic food and are able to forage over a wide area for bugs, worms and whatever else takes their fancy.
We sell their eggs at the door when we have a surplus.
Rather than going for egg-laying machines, we’ve chosen more interesting hens such as Cuckoo Marans, Lightr Sussex, White Stars, and Araucanas which all lay great tasting eggs that look more interesting than the supermaket standard brown ones. Due to demand we are currently rearing Ross Cobb hens for the table.
